Generation Wave
GW is a youth activist organization which emerged after the 2007 September Saffron Revolution; it opposes the military dictatorship in order to fight for the rights of the people through youth mobilization.
Generation Wave’s Objectives
To create a free and just society where people can live a life of peace and prosperity
Generation Wave’s Mission
- To overcome the brutal military dictatorship
- To seek the cooperation of the people to develop Burma into a prosperous nation with respect for human rights
- to motivate the youth to take responsibility for the future of the country
Generation Wave’s policies
- We will continue to fight for human rights and democracy using only non-violent methods
- We will cooperate with other non-violent pro democracy groups.
- We will hold on to peaceful and just ways in implementing our activities.
